The Calypso Nature Trail

The Calypso Nature Trail is operated by Camp Source de vie

The Calypso Trail is situated at Lake Kennedy at km3 of Fushimi Road, 25 km west of Hearst Ontario Canada.

Lake Kennedy is the head water for Stoddart Creek, part of the chain of lakes north of Hearst. The chain of lakes supplies the Pivabiska River, a tributary of the Missinaibi River, a major tributary of the Moose River.

History of camp Source de vie Camp Source de vie started in 1982 as a survival and leadership camp administered by Services à la jeunesse, a juvenile delinquincy prevention program. In 1985 the main pavillion is built and the camp evolves to a regular summer camp for youth of 7 to 14 years old. In 1988 a non-profit corporation is formed to manage the installations. In 1995 Services à la jeunesse loses its governamental funding and the corporation du camp Source de vie takes over all aspects of the summer camp. Over 125 youth now enjoy the camp every summer.

Le camp Sources de vie voit le jour en 1982 et est un camp de survie et de leadership sous l’égide de Services à la jeunesse, un organisme de prévention de délinquence juvénille. En 1985, c’est la construction du pavillon principal et le camp évolu vers un camp de vacances pour jeunes de 7 à 14 ans. En 1988 le camp devient une corporation distincte et les installations sont gérer par un comité bénévole. En 1995 Services à la jeunesse perd son financement gouvernemental et la corporation du camp Source de vie prend la charge de la programmation. Il acceuille maintenant plus de 125 jeunes par été. Tout ceux qui ont à coeur la jeunesse et la nature peuvent devenir membre de la Corporation du camp Sources de vie.

Guests of this untamed land are never the same after having experienced some of Canada's most secluded hideaways. Our modern outpost camps are both rustic and comfortable, providing you with the best of both worlds.

Included in our fly-in fishing prices are a boat, motor and gas, fly in - fly out, fully equipped outpost camp, mid-week check flight ( offered to 7 day packages only ). Guests are responsible for food, personal gear, fishing gear, licenses and P.F.D.'s. A deposit of $100.00 per person is required. Season runs from May 20th to September 30, 2006. All of our lakes are deemed catch and consume.
